I am Sunok Lee,
design researcher for Human-centered AI.

My research focuses on encouraging a positive relationship  between humans and AI. My ultimate research vision is to create a cycle where humans and AI learn from and teach each other, contributing to a better future.

From the AI perspective, I design user-centered interactions and propose design directions to closely connect AI technologies with users' lives (IJHCI 2022 & Ubicomp 2020).

From the human aspect, I am working on various initiatives to enhance users' AI literacy. This aims to empower individuals to communicate and collaborate more effectively with AI (CHI 2023).

I'm currently a Ph.D. candidate in the department of industrial design at Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST), advised by Prof. Sangsu Lee in the Next Interface Lab. I received my M.S. in Industrial design from KAIST. I completed my undergraduate studies at Hongik University, where I received a BFA in sculpture and art education with a second major in Metal arts and design.
